Bio science research crew

Report: - ABSOPTON OF THE HEAVY METAL LEAD(Pb) by INTRODUCED AND NATIVE WEED PLANTS. Although I eventually chose to pursue Arts, Science was always the subject I loved most. I had enough talent and experience to follow the Bio Science stream, but I quickly realized that Science requires total focus. If you don't give it your full attention, it easily slips away. Trying to keep my mind on Art while practicing Science was a challenge that slowed down my academic path. This memory comes from a time when I was part of a high-achieving group of students in a research project organized by the National Science Foundation at the University of Peradeniya. The project focused on "The absorption of the heavy metal Lead (Pb) using invasive and native weed plants." However, towards the end of the project, I handed over the remaining work to my teammates because I had to travel abroad for an Arts competition. That moment truly left me feeling turn between my two passions. Recently,...

" THE GLAD GAME "

Pollyanna...                      Many people know Pollyanna as a classic by Eleanor H. porter, but my journey with this story began through the Sinhala translation by Katyana Amarasinghe . what makes this version special is how easily it allows us to imagine Pollyanna's world. ๐Ÿ“•     I  read the Sinhala translation of Pollyanna quite some time ago. Back then, it was just another book on my shelf, but as I turned the pages, I realized it was so much more. Even though it's been a while since I finished it, the story of this young girl and her "Glad Game " continue to influence how I view the world today.   While often labeled as a novel considered a classic of children's literature. But I believe Pollyanna carries a much deeper value for young adults and grown-ups. In a world full of complex stories, this book stands out because of its simple and power to Sparke a smile. ☺☺☺☺ Most books just to see " what happens...

SECRET ADVENTURE ๐Ÿค

PINE TREE ADVENTURE AMBULUWAWA...๐Ÿ’ฌ                                                       On world tourism day, I visited Ambuluwawa. while the views were amazing, the best thing I took home wasn't a photo. it was a tiny note with pine tree flower from the team at pine tree adventure. on it, they had written:                                " The most beautiful smile we saw today☺."  I t made me realize that you don't need a big reason to be happy. I don't even know exactly when I was laughing but knowing that my happiness made someone else day better made me even happier. it's like when you are in a crowed and one-person starts laughing soon, everyone is wearing a smile without even knowing why?  The pines tree adventure park ...

The STAMP Album

Image
Stamps........ when w e were kids writing essays about ourselves, there was one question almost everyone answered with a little lie, " WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY? "                          For most, the answer was" my hobby is collecting stamps " because it was the easy answer for an essay, but for me, it was not just a sentence in a book or a speech.it was my reality. Unlike others who struggled to explain their hobby when a teacher asked for details, but I loved being questioned because I act ually had the albums to prove it! ❤   Collecting stamps wasn't something I did alone. I had a lot of support from my family. my brother was my biggest helper, working with me to find and sort every stamp we found, and my father also encouraged me by spending his own money to bu...

๐ŸฅดFinding balance at HOME๐Ÿƒ‍♀️๐Ÿคธ‍♀️๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ

Some days my mornings start with a challenge, my father, my personal 'coach', he knows exactly how to get rid of my laziness, at least for one day a week. These day.my mother is also very supportive, so she always makes us something healthy food to eat in this morning. We all know that even if don't feel like doing it, I have to! ๐Ÿƒ‍♀️ My father exercises every morning, so compared to him, I m a too lazy. but when father is in coach mood, those workout minutes feels like they are moving in slow motion! But that discipline is what keeps our energy high. That's my morning this day. ๐Ÿ”†๐Ÿ”… In the afternoon, after I get some time to sleep, Dad wakes me up for a game of badminton. I love this part! it's not just exercise, it's a competition between my dad and me, which is probably why I enjoy it so much. Afterwords, we have a cool drink, and we make sure to include mother in our conversation. that's when I feel like there isn't enough time in the day. that'...

Boat safari

Image
๐Ÿšค......... Madu river boat safari Many of my readers might remember my previous posts about the Madu river during the tsunami. however, this experience was completely different. the river was rough before but now incredibly calm and still.  I wanted to share this peaceful journey through the many islands of the Madu river with all of you. One of the most important things to note is that the best time for the safari is during sunset⛅. you can see the unforgettable sunset in my video.  We began our journey with some fish therapy before heading out to explore the islands. two of the most memorable islands were " S atha Paha Duwa " and " Kurulu Duwa " . We also saw old bridge connecting two villages. while life there looks difficult, the people are surrounded by incredible natural beauty.  Later, we visited " KOTHUDUWA RAJAMAHA VIHARAYA " . since we arrived at sunset, the temple looked stunning against the fading light.  The peaceful atmosphere and river su...

From STUDENTS to SPECTATORS

Image
We are no longer students here; we are now visitors. Walking through the school again felt like being a guest in a place that taught me so much more than just books.  It was a strange, yet beautiful experience to walk those familiar paths again not in our old school uniforms, but as young adults wearing sarees. It felt like we were visiting a world we had only just left, but which already felt slightly out of reach. Seeing my friends again, all of us now in higher education, was truly special. Instead of just taking photos, we really took the time to feel the atmosphere of the school. So many memories came back to me the events we organized, the Colors Days, and the hard work we put in. All of it felt like flipping through the pages of a favorite book.  While our teachers, the school grounds, and our shared experiences will always stay with us, I know the school itself will keep changing.  New students will come and go, and eventually, our ti...

๐Ÿ•️Family vacation mood ๐Ÿƒ

Image
The way I see it, most of my blogs are about things I do for my own freedom but, what I'm about to share is a memory spent with my family. one thing I learned from them is that everyone must gather at the dining table for dinner There while we eat as family, we can talk about any problems or things happening a next day and my father used to make it a habit to advise us by pointing out our mistakes, while also chatting jokingly and cordially about the food. It is still the same today, but some things feel distant. Because of that, what we do now is set aside a certain period for everyone to go on a trip, stay together, and enjoy our family experience freely. so here are the places we visited during the last season. These are just a few of the places we traveled to. Since we stayed at holiday resorts in almost every location, we had plenty of time to just sit and talk freely. having visited Nuwara Eliya and Galle last year,           we choose Sigir...

๐ŸŽŒJAPANESE KANJI✒️

Image
๐ŸŽŒ Japanese kanji characters are a type of ideogram that originally came from China. what makes them special is that a single character can represent a whole idea or a complete word. while kanji is very popular, writing them according to strict traditional rules is considered art form, and High-quality calligraphy can even become expensive artwork. ๐Ÿ˜ณ In my first experience with kanji, I chose a few characters and tried to copy them. ๐Ÿ‘‡  What I realized is that compared following there strict, traditional rules, ๐Ÿ˜ช it felt much easier to let my hand move freely along the lines. in my opinion, moving the brush with more freedom actually makes the shape of the character look shaper more powerful. However, true freedom in art doesn't happen by accident, you first have to learn the basics. every kanji has a specific order that you must follow. us...
