🎌JAPANESE KANJI✒️

🎌Japanese kanji characters are a type of ideogram that originally came from China. what makes them special is that a single character can represent a whole idea or a complete word. while kanji is very popular, writing them according to strict traditional rules is considered art form, and High-quality calligraphy can even become expensive artwork. 😳

In my first experience with kanji, I chose a few characters and tried to copy them. 👇

What I realized is that compared following there strict, traditional rules, 😪 it felt much easier to let my hand move freely along the lines. in my opinion, moving the brush with more freedom actually makes the shape of the character look shaper more powerful.

However, true freedom in art doesn't happen by accident, you first have to learn the basics. every kanji has a specific order that you must follow. usually,

draw from a top to bottom/ left to right. but sometimes even start with the middle part. by following these steps, you make sure the character looks balanced and beautiful every time. Most kanji are built from smaller components known as "radicals". then making much it easier to recognize and understand the overall meaning of the character.

Early kanji characters were originally inspired by objects found in nature. many of these symbols still look like the physical things they represent. Seeing kanji as pictures rather than just random lines makes them much easier to memorize.

Since I learned from a Japanese lecturer at a Japanese school, I was taught the basic steps in a very traditional and simple way. while it was challenging, it helped me learn quite quickly. however, I still believe that drawing kanji with a free mind and a relaxed brush is much simpler than following strict rules. ♥

Give it a try yourself................🎌
