🌊“A family memory i’m unaware of”😣

.............Tsunami🌊 The tsunami is shadow in my life a shocking event that I don't actually remember. but one that I am deeply a part of. To me, it feels like a dark bedtime story. but when I see the look in my family members eyes. I know it was a nightmare they lived through. 🖤🤍 It was December 2004. I was just a baby in my mother's arms. we had traveled to my uncle's house in Ambalangoda to attend a religious almsgiving ☸️ at the Kande Vihara Temple. my uncles house sat right across the road from the beach. even today, that house still stands, and every time I see it, I think above how close we came to losing everything. 😥 As my relatives say, w...

.... CONSTRUCTION FIELD T his opportunity to join the company came quite unexpectedly. I was chosen because I am able to communicate well and present ideas clearly, combined with the practical knowledge I gained from my previous experience as a site supervisor. A major factor was the time I spent researching and preparing data reports at various sites after completing my A/Ls. Usually, there is always a team ready to step up, but this time, the supervising engineer had to travel abroad suddenly, so I had to step in. Even though I have not studied engineering, my father coached me on exactly how to make the presentation.                        I eventu...

ARTISTIC IDENTIFY...🎨🖋

MANDALA DRAWING.... 🖋 Sometimes my favorite things to do in my free time is MANDALA DRAWING. while many people use it as a way to release stress or relax their minds, 😉   what really draws me in is the unique aesthetic of the art itself.  Sometimes I stick to simple pen or pencil drawing. and other times I love making them colorful. 💖 my favorite way to crate is on a canvas board where I can let my thoughts flow freely.  I don't actually have many of my physical pieces left because I have given them away to bring peace of mind to my friends. most of what I have now are just a few drawings in a notebook.  Even though I don't draw specifically to find freedom, looking back at my old drawings gives me genuine sense of peace. 😇 It's truly a wonderful are from, I don't follow patterns or rules, and I never been a fan of pre-printed coloring books, prefer creating my own original designs. Sometimes my drawings are inspired by the situations I'm in, specific mo...

Academy experience

💙💛🤍💗                               At first, I just wanted to help younger students prepare for their exams by sharing what I knew. because I was good at explaining things, my teachers encouraged me to take on more. I started by focusing on two subjects, which helped me deepen my own knowledge while helping others. Later, while I was at university, a senior teacher invited me to join an academy. I took a special course to improve my teaching skills, and for a while, I kept this role a bit of a secret. 🤐 I went through the selection progress every six months and ended up teaching at various centers, including places Kurunegala-pencil opera, Kandy-no zero, Rambukkana, Mawanella, Kadawatha, Nittambuwa and Kegalle. i had great support from another university friends and other teachers and I felt very proud of the work we did. Even though i m planning to leave once my current student finished their...

PICNICS

Image
School friends still keeping their bond💕 For me, a picnic isn't just an outing, it's a necessary escape from the pressure of daily life. it usually starts the same way, we have just survived a wave of university assignments and exams, and we are all thinking about heading home. suddenly, a message pops up in the group chat, " shall we go somewhere?" that's all it takes. we crave those moments to just talk, snap a few photos, grab a bite, and lose ourselves in some music. we are group of five, but as life gets complicated, someone always seems to be missing. usually, it's our friend stationed in Anuradhapura for army nursing . I realized recently that I have not seen her in person since 2020. however, she gets her hands on her phone, we all drop what we are doing to catch up. even if we don't have time for a full trip, we make it a point to at least visit the or find a spot with great food just to stay connected.     our adventures have taken us to some ...

DEDUGALA then and now

Image
D edugala 🍀 dedugala is a village very close to my town. its place filled with natural beauty and lots of greenery. I have visited it many times because it is perfect spot to go on a picnic with friends💚😎, take photos at the viewpoint, and give my eyes a rest from my phone screen. it was the best place to just relax and feel fre e. 🍀😇 Cyclone Ditwa The last time I went there was to get a drone video🎥. since that day, I haven't been back not because I didn't want to, but, because it became restricted ditwa cyclone😪changed everything.  In an instant, the green landscapes were covered by landslides of mud and rocks 🥺. houses were buried, and many lives were lost. The villages were completely displaced and lost everything. 💥 Even if the natural beauty eventually returns to Dedugala, the people who lived there won't, 💔 it's hard to believe this happened to people who loved nature so much💚. I heard that the kind people who gave us durian for free during my last vi...

ICSQCC - INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION ON STUDENT'S QUALITY CIRCLE 🥇 looking back at my school days, there is one experience that stands out above all others participating in the ICSQCC (INTERNATIONA CONVENTION ON STUDENTS QUALITY CONTROL CIRCLES). to be honest, it wasn't just a competition, it was a masterclass in leadership⛳, teamwork🔗, and facing challenges I never thought possible.   The biggest lesson I learned was the power unity. it was never about what I could be alone, it was about what we could achieve together. I am so proud to say that my team didn't just participate we conquered. out of mor than a hundred countries, our team to the top to claim the OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD. 🏆 as the team leader, the moment I held that trophy and saw our schools name and our country's flags recognized internationally was unforgettable. it was the proudest moment of life.     interestingly, I don't have a personal photo of that exact second. why? because we were in such ...

🎭Invitation for the Final Production🎭 The University of the Visual and Performing Arts is truly a world of art.🎇  Unexpectedly and by chance, it became a part of my life a sanctuary I am now bound to, and one I hope to return to again. After my home and my school, I feel this is the next most beautiful haven I have encountered. We are still looking forward to the day we can officially join this community. My connection to it began with a simple invitation to witness a final production, and the experience I gained there inspired me to share these thoughts. 🎭 I saw them all prepared for their final theatrical performance, a moment built entirely on brotherhood. They were ready to turn the final chapter of their book of memories. 😥 Their creativity, their vision, and their unwavering support for one another were visible in everything they did. Even though I was a stranger in an unfamiliar place, they never made me feel like one. As it all came to an end, they departed ...
